What is sharp sand?
Sharp sand is a coarse grained sand often referred to as a grit sand or concreting sand.
Its is graded 0/4mm and complies to BS EN 12620.
What is sharp sand used for?
Sharp sand is used largely in concreting though can also be used in screed’s and render as well as block paving and as well as in block paving and laying slabs.
What is the bulk density of sharp sand?
1.59 tonne per m3 loose or 1.71 tonne per m3 compacted
